Warranty information.

Each new Volkswagen vehicle and each replacement part or assembly manufactured or supplied by it, is warranted by Volkswagen Motors Limited to be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and service for the applicable Warranty period mentioned below.

Included within the terms of the Warranty is the cosmetic paintwork, this covers the vehicle against any paint problem which relates to manufacture or materials.

The Warranty period for a new vehicle is two years, with no mileage limitation and commences on the date of first registration.

The Warranty period for replacement parts and assemblies fitted during the Warranty period, is until the expiration of the new vehicle Warranty.

Only Volkswagen Approved Dealerships provide approved facilities for servicing and repair of Volkswagen vehicles, with full technical support from the Company.

These Volkswagen approved Dealerships will, under the terms of this Warranty, repair or replace free of charge to the owner any part or assembly which is proved to the Company’s satisfaction to show a defect in either material or workmanship within the applicable Warranty period.

If a problem occurs within the applicable Warranty period, then a Volkswagen Approved Dealership should be consulted immediately and arrangements should be made with them for the delivery of the car or part to their premises.

Note

The repair or replacement will not be carried out free of charge under the Warranty if:

• The car or part has not been maintained in accordance with the recommended maintenance instructions and periods.
• The car has been used for rallying, racing or for any use for which it was neither intended nor designed.
• The car or part has been neglected or subjected to accident damage.
• The car or part has been altered or modified or the manufacturer’s identification number or mark has been changed or removed.
• The repair or replacement is necessary as a result of fair wear and tear.
• A non-approved assembly has been fitted.
• The car has been repaired or a part or assembly has been fitted other than by a Volkswagen Approved Dealership.

The owner is responsible for the cost of general maintenance, including scheduled services and routine adjustments, as recommended by Volkswagen and all replacement parts and assemblies and other material used in such maintenance, scheduled services and adjustments.

This Warranty is issued to the First Owner of the vehicle and can only be transferred to subsequent owners through a Volkswagen Approved Dealership.

The benefits described in this Warranty are available from any Volkswagen Approved Dealership with Vietnam.
